HTC's S710 is a remarkable device. It is a Windows Mobile Smartphone running Windows Mobile 6, and when it came into my hands it was the first I'd seen with this string to its bow. What really catches the eye is the built in keyboard. This is a phone which is not significantly larger than your average mobile, yet, out of its long right edge, you can slide a qwerty keyboard that is perfectly adequate for instant messaging and a bit of email creation.
If you crave the mini keyboards of some Windows Mobile Pocket PCs and BlackBerry-like devices, but want a smaller overall object to hold in the hand or slip into the pocket, is this the one? Well, I do have some reservations, but also really like the format.
