The Sidekick III is an unusual looking, very youth-oriented mobile phone which houses a large screen and keyboard. Its screen has a clever flipping mechanism which causes it to swivel through 180 degrees and reveal the large and usable keyboard.
This phone is designed to handle your diary, contacts and other personal information. Whatever info you enter into it, as well as photos you shoot with its camera, is automatically saved to some password protected web space you get as part of your contract with T-Mobile. You also get an email address, with the contract and a 'push' like email service to and from the Sidekick III.
The web space element means you have a backup of the Sidekick III, and that you can access your diary and other info from any internet capable computer as well as through your phone. It is a clever idea, but there is no desktop PC synchronisation.
