Lenovo's ThinkPad SL500 is something of a monster in terms of build. It is definitely robust, but don't expect a very tidy looking notebook.
The resolution of the 15.4 inch screen is welcome at 1680 x 1050 and I found it a joy to work with. But battery life is not all it could be, and this is a heavy notebook to carry around.
