The latest version of Dragon Naturally Speaking comes with a claim of up to 99 percent accuracy and a speed three times faster than typing.
Well, maybe, but don't let that claim take all your attention. The key point is that you can talk it, and it produces text in a word processor. Or you talk to it and it controls your web browsing. Or, well, you talk to it and it does whatever you want it to, really.
There is a learning curve both for yourself and the software. You need to learn to speak clearly and enunciate well, it needs to learn to recognise what you say, which inevitably means a bit of correcting it in the early days.
But stick with it and you'll have, like I do, software you can talk to faster than you can type. And I am a mean touchtypist!
