The Toughbook Executive CF-T7 is not a fully ruggedised notebook. Rather, it is intended to add some ruggedness to the kind of stylish notebook executives like to use.
To that end the magnesium alloy casing looks good, and the notebook could easily pass as one with less ruggedised features. But it offers a shock mounted hard drive, spill resistant keyboard and some drop resistance.
It also has a rubber hand strap which enables you to cradle it more safely in the crook of an arm if you need to use it while standing up.
