If you need to work outside the office, then maybe you need a tough and rugged notebook. They don't come much more rugged than this model from GETAC, with its tough outer shell and shock protected hard drive.
Of course this is a heavy notebook, and it is expensive too. But if your working environment involves the likes of dust, heat, water and physical shocks, then only a rugged notebook will do.
