Starting with the good points, I liked the look of the S500i slider, its black and green appealing to my idea of a what makes a neat colour scheme. The display is bright and clear too.
I like the glowing side-lights that illuminate when someone phones, too.
But it is a shame you can't assign different colour schemes to different callers. And there are other niggles. I don't like the raised ridge around the navigation button, which makes it difficult to hit this accurately.
The slider mechanism works OK, but there's not a lot to grip to make it slide, and on-board memory is limited so music fans will need to by a Memory Stick Micro. I wasn't too impressed with the camera, either.
