Palm's new Treo is an exclusive to Vodafone in the UK, and is being hailed as a Windows Mobile device for consumers.
The 3G device lacks HSDPA for really fast downloading, and has no front camera for video calling. There is no WiFi either and these absences put it a little way behind much of the competition.
On the other hand Palm has implemented a clever user interface which makes the Treo 500v look and feel very different to other Windows Mobile devices. Add in the mini keyboard for emailing, and in the end I decided this is a pretty good stab at a Windows Mobile smartphone.
