The Action Cam is quite a novelty.
The idea, as paraded at the Oregon Scientific web site is that you use to shoot head on video of your own participation in action sports, so that you can give other people an idea of the thrills and spills you encounter on your mountain bike, for example. But I can see it being as popular among youngsters playing detective too.
The kit is a bit large, the various attachment straps provided are fairly flexible but don't work in all circumstances, and you are going to need SD cards to supplement the internal memory. But it does work.
