Orange SPV M700 review published

Orange has added the M700 to its SPV range. This is a small, slim, 3G Windows Mobile Pocket PC which provides plenty of features in a pocket-sized device.

Quad-band GSM with 3G and HSDPA support, the SPV M700 has a front facing camera for two-way video calling, and includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, infra red and a GPS antenna. It is a mystery to me why Orange doesn't shout about the antenna at its web site as this gives you the facility for using satnav software without the bother of a separate antenna.

Incidentally, this is the same handset as HTC's P3600, and HTC didn't even bother to enable the GPS antenna at launch. The company has only just announced a software patch that makes it accessible. Go figure that one!

Back to the SPV M700. The hardware design is neat too. It is available in either black or white, and in both cases a rather nice shiny plastic has been used for the casing. There is a scroll wheel on the left edge with an OK button, which makes it easy to move through emails, web pages and long text documents one handed without tapping at the touch screen.

Overall I like this device a lot. Read my full review at TrustedReviews.com, here.
