Rugedised notebook computers don't get a great deal of press in the mainstream IT media - probably at least partly because they are seen as having a clearly defined market which knows what it needs and looks to specialist sources to deliver.
But looking at the Go-Book XR-1 is a real revelation. No, it isn't small and light, no, it isn't inexpensive, but if you need something to do a job in tough conditions, it may well fare a lot better than an ordinary, un-tough notebook.
